It makes browsing the pool of information fast, effective and easy. This UI is the best I've ever seen in a political sim. (The respective speed shows the scale of the increase or decrease) You're then presented with all this information in a large web that makes it brilliantly easy to navigate. The game works by isolating every single policy, event, demographic and statistic and shows you the effect they have on each other with a simple animated green arrow to show an increase and an animated red arrow to show a decrease. Everything is simulated down to the very last tiny detail. The idea is you are elected to run a democracy the best you see fit and you are given a huge amount of control with a huge amount of responsibility. I am a regular player of Bloc and I thought it would be great to try a slower, single player approached that's focused more on precision and number crunching than diplomacy and international relations like that of Bloc.ĭemocracy 3 is a political simulation game. I am a fan of political simulations and text based games. At first I laughed because he was playing a text based game maxed out at 1920x1080 but after I took a look at his take on it I immediately had to try it. I was recently looking through some older videos from Totalbiscuit when I find something I thought was quite out of the ordinary for him. ( Note that Democracy 3 only has a 70 on metascore) Provided you have at least a slight interest in politics, otherwise it's like trying to play Grand Theft Auto when you don't like violence.īefore you downvote, hear me out on why I think this is an unappreciated game. In my opinion Democracy 3 deserves far more praise than it gets and is a very enjoyable experience.
